SHOP WITH A COP!!

    The Parma F.O.P. Lodge #15 is starting it's seventh year with the Shop With a Cop program.
    This program is designed for the children to enjoy Christmas Shopping with a police officer and buying Holiday gifts. Children will each receive a $125.00 gift card to purchase items at the Strongsville WAL-MART. Officer's will select a child from their city that would benefit the most. Officer's would contact their local school's or youth organizations that can help with the selection of a child.
    The date selected for this year's program is December 8th. The day will begin with a uniformed officer in a marked patrol car picking up their selected child and meeting at the lodge hall at 9:00am. From the lodge hall they will then escort the children to the Strongsville WAL-MART. When the shopping is finished the officer and children will return back to the lodge hall where everyone will get to enjoy pizza and pop. Once everyone is fed each officer will escort each child back home with the patrol unit.
     With this being the seventh year of the program the lodge will be able to accommodate approximately (35 to 40) children. Participating officer's need to advise as soon as possible if they and their city are going to participate in this program or have any questions. Just a reminder that the lodge gate now has a lock on it. Check you news letter for the combination. You must be a member in good standings to have this access.

Another reminder is that the back property is closed during the winter months. The ground is too soft for vehicles and last year we had a few cars get stuck leaving big ruts. The camp grounds open for camping from Memorial Day weekend to November 1st.

We need your help at OUR lodge clean up parties. Please donate a couple hours each month on our scheduled Saturday's and help keep our lodge looking good. Any question can be directed to President Soltis. Thank You!

This year we interviewed for a new accountant for the Lodge taxes. The Executive Board decided to go with,

We spoke with Richard Tielke who was very impressive and agreed to handle our tax returns for an extremely low price. Mr. Tielke has also agreed to work with any of our members with their accounting or tax needs. Give him a call and let him know that your with the FOP.

Come to the next meeting and tell us your concerns! Any problems with legal issues please contact your union rep or Brother Soltis at the next meeting or by phone. If you have any ideas to help the lodge or your brothers in making a better working environment, please contact us.
We can't help you if you don't tell us!

A reminder for all members using the hall to clean up after their function. All trash should be removed to the dumpster and the hall floor cleaned. No items are to be hung on the walls with tape or any other sticky item. Any damage done to the hall or it's contents will be charged to the member that reserved the hall.
